Hey just built a hanger 9 t-6 and am almost complete. How about the flight characteristics?? Well I have been flying alot of fun-flys lately, hots, u-can-do,sticks. Had a pattern plane. I Know this plane isn't exactly scale, and is supoosed to have better characteristics than your common warbird. I just got back into the hobby from a 6 year break at the beggining of this year. But I have flown the crap out of my army of planes and excelled quite well. I am not a begginer to the hobby( although I have picked on a lot more responsibility with them since 6 years ago) I learn more everyday. I know I can handle this bird although it will be different. What engine and servos do you guys recommend? I really don't want a four stroke on it.Would be nice but thought about a super tigre 75. I have hitec hs-422's on the ails. Will this be adequete?? I am going to put a 425 in the elevator. I think this will work but second opinions will be good! Also are there any mod's to be taken into consideration?? I read a few threads on here about a hot-glued firewall!!yukkkkkkkkk!! I renforced it with epoxy. I threw the tailwheel assemly away, and installed an ohio superstar bracket assembly. Those are the only mods as of now I have made. The main
gear scare the !@!$ out of me. Anyway hope to maiden it this weekend. we have a good weather forcast for this weekend thus far. Any help will be appreciated, thanks .

The landing gear is a joke. The airplane will be all over the place. You will scrape the wing tips guranteed on landings. I have a saito 100 inverted and it is a perfect match for this plane. The two strokes just don't run very well inverted unless you install a onboard heater. Once the plane is in the air it flys like it is on rails. I installed the 3/16 wire struts from robart and the plane handles real well now. I am using the stock tailwheel which works just fine for me. I see no need to replace it. I have over twenty flights on the plane with no problems. Good luck on your maiden flight. Be ready for the dreaded ground loop, add throttle SLOWLY.

I have one. I've only flown mine once though and yes, I agree with Hellcat that it does turn as if it's on rails. Very nice flying plane. I came in a little too hot on my first landing and the new improved robart wires twisted on me. I guess I didn't tighten the set screws down enough? I've since repaired them and have yet to take her up again. As far as power, I have a TT91FS mounted in there at about 45 degrees. Runs well thus far as those engines take forever to break in. When I don't fly it, I'll run a couple of tank fulls on the ground. The more fuel the better with those engines for some reason or another. As far as the tail wheel assembly, I opted for the Sullivan tail wheel bracket setup. Have the same one on my 4*60 and I liked it a whole bunch, so I thought I give it another chance. Thus far the plane gets a thumbs up from me. I have a prop hub on mine, looks good. I have pics posted on here already, but the thread is way down on the list. If you like, I can repost them, Let me know. Good luck,

Have had a bunch of posts concerning the plane and have mixed feelings.
The gear is shady to say the least. The firewall is hot glued as you suspect but proved to be
beneficial when it tip stalled in and broke away clean.
Second crash wasn't so pretty. Canopy is VERY flimsy and will crack if you
fart in the geneal vicinity of it. Reinforce you wing joints with fiberglass and epoxy
Don't think the added weight will affect the flight charecteristics that much.
Once airborne it is a super flyer. It's just getting it off and landing that are
tricky and need carefull attention to technique.
It's no trainer and needs airspeed. Elevator is very sensitive and will drag'er down
if the power isn't there. I installed a TT .91FS and it had pleanty of power
and sounded great idling along.
Definitelyplace the main gear wires and read my post about moding the retracts to go
over 85 degrees or they will tuck under in a heart beat.
Still Re-rebuilding mine and hope to try again before it snows

Thanks, I sat both of them down, epoxied them in and told them not to mess up. Thus far, they have been doing a good job. Let us know how yours turns out. Best of luck to ya.
