What is the best J3 Cub ARF ?
Hi Gang,
Help me out, just getting back into this hobby. I am interested in War Birds, but need some stick time. Can't stomach a trainer, but thing the J3 Cub would be fun to play with. I am an experienced pilot, but have been absent from the hobby for 10+ years.
Please your Cub Kit/ARF recommendations. Thanks.

RE: What is the best J3 Cub ARF ?
Hi Wille E,
I am looking for a 40-60 size J3. 70-80" wingspan. I realized after the last post that I left myself open for the "big" birds. I would love to go 100", but just too big for transporting, etc.
Thanks,

Hi Polstery,
Man, that is a big cub and engine combo. I am really just getting back in the hobby, need something that I can "dumb thumb" around for awhile. I have flown pattern, pylon racers, etc in the past, but after 10+ years out of the hobby and more laid back than I used to be, a slow flying, knock around J3 sounds good. hehehehee
I will think about your recommendation for the future. Thanks.

Hey charlie check out the world models cub it is extreemly light and has a 2 piece wing with a alumium tube in the middle at only 119.00 it is a super buy . I fly mine with a saito .30 fourstroke talkin about scale performance LOL. But for you even a cheap la .40 will be great.

The Hanger 9, I hear is a great ARF. I have also heard the World Models is a good choice. I appreciate everyone's help. The biggest change in the RC industry has been the ARF's. When I was in the hobby several years ago, the ARF's pretty much "stunk". They were heavy and flew like a brick. Now it looks like they are building them like I would. Sure makes it easier to get back flying. I don't plan on using all ARF's, because I think a huge part of this hobby is building, but for a quick way to get back in the air, and the quality of the new models.... I don't see I can go wrong.
Keep the ideas and comments coming. Also, those that have built/assembled a J3, please let me here the good and bad of your experience.
Thanks !
