Bipe Help-Christen Eagle or Pitts ATRF
Hi,
I am in love with Bipes and need to get one.
I had a Seagull Super Stearman and hated it (Slow and I'll mannered !) but it's not got it out of my system.
Goldberg Ultimate ATRF is out (Cost here in Europe is astronomical ).
GP Ultimate is out (No room to build kit)
leaves -
Flair Christen Eagle or Jamara Pitts !
Does anyone have any opinions on these ?
I think I'd need it to be pretty aerobatic or I'd get bored quickly.
Sorry if this has been asked loadsa times before ! (I couldn't find it !)
Thanks,
Rob

So you want a bipe? If the big ones are too expensive, try the World Models Ultimate 30. A .52 fourstroke will make it quite agile, without big holes in the cowl. I've mentioned this here before, but if you get one :
- make sure the upper support is reinforced where the wire retainer goes through. Better yet, build one from basswood or something.
- set the top wing incidence negative .5 degree or so.
- brace the wire gear well, or replace it. It bends easily, so you can bend it forward for better gound handling - then bend it forward again after a few landings!
- seal down edges of the covering with CA. Like under the horizontal stab, behind the cowl, etc.
Good luck!
