Default Another ucando3d question

Ok, got my ucd3d 60. Now I have another dilema. What engine to use? My choices are; Super Tigre .75, Tower Hobbies .75, ( these are well broke in) or a new O.S. .91 4c. The tower hobbys .75 is a very strong engine (had it on a 4*60 till it did a #9). Had the ST .75 on another 4* and flew it till it got too oil soaked to fly anymore (this too was a very good engine but had a bit of trouble keeping it tuned). Now my question is this, which one of these engines would you use? Keeping in mind that I am already engine poor!

Thanks,
Chuck

I have a UCD60 question, after looking at this plane in my building room for 4 months I decided to start putting it together and I had a 91TTFS looking for a home but my question is has anyone flown this with a FS and stock tank location?? My TT Carb is over 1 inch below the tank center line and over the past 20 years this has always spelled Problem's for the engine especially in the case of a inverted engine.

I can drop a small 200cc tank down to center line with out to much trouble or modification but the flights will be short!!!!! did I mention I got bored the other night and stripped all the covering off and drilled 3in lighting hole all down the side behind the cockpit and cut out all the balsa sheeting forward of the wing bolts matching the plywood under skin(Man I should start drinking again I think it's safer) Well a lease I can see the tank fuel level through the transparent blue covering now!!

The TT 91 is being flown by a lot of guys and it seems to be a good engine for the UCD. Your correct concerning the tank height relationship to the carb being an issue. I had a .91 OS in mine and it gave me fits till I went to the Cline regulator, the Cline also gave me the ability to move the tank back to the CG which really woke the UCD up!

I've got a Mag 91 four stroke on mine that the tank is causing problems . Has anyone mounted the engine 90 degrees ? If so did it effect flight performance ?

Thanks, Barry
