My ARF came with exactly 4 tiny brass crimps to secure the pull-pull wires to the threads.
Of course, I dropped and lost one...no local hobby shop.
Anyone know of a decent subsitute? I'm thinking of a local hardware shop etc., but I'm not sure they would have brass, aluminum, or steel tubes that small...

Go to the fishing section at the local wally world. The crimps for steel leader wire work great. As a matter of fact, thats the stuff I use to make my pull-pulls with anyway. Much cheaper then the stuff at the hobby shop and stronger too.

No problem at all, just go to any store that sells fishing equipment and get some #3 leader wire crimps. Wal-Mart has them in a package of about 35 for a couple of bucks. While your there pick up one of their crimping pliers for about three bucks. You can also get spools of 30 lb test nylon coated stainless wire for future pull pulls. Hope this helps...Dave

That happens to me all the time! Use a piece of fill/vent tubing from an old fuel tank, cut them with hack saw to length, after crimping use ca to ensure it doesn't come loose!

Not So Great Luck!
Wall-mart nor two of my local sporting stores carried the crimps.
So, I tested a piece of old fuel tubing...since the diameter was larger, I looped the wire three times instead of one. Worked fine.
