There are a couple things to consider. The reason for the 12/12 is not only for speed but prop clearance. Many use this with larger props with less pitch for 3d and stuff but you can't do that with this. The 12/12apc is a very good combination. Also with the engine , prop and torque and all that, you need to keep the idle rpms down low because the plane is light and (overpowered) and will roll away on you,

Yep, agree 100%. What is max rpm with the 12/12 ?
