I'm thinking about doing a pull-pull for elevator and rudder on my Pizazz..... This is Pizazz #2... The first one went in full throttle due to radio failure... Bummer.....
Anyway... I'd like to have stiffer controls. The push rod setup on Pizazz #1 was a little weak....
Thoughts?

I put 2 HS 85 MG's in the tail of mine and have never regretted it. I went with pull pull on the rudder.
Balance with a Saito .65 is right on with a 6.0 volt nmhd wire tied to the fuse just behind the wing.
No flex has been noted in flight and performace is better than it was with the stock rods.

I am at work and will not be home for another week and a half. I will get some pics when I get there. I cut the servos in right at the leading edge of the elevator and glued 1/8" X 1/2" ply strips under the balsa. I then glued 1/4" X 1/4" spruce blocks to mount the servos and act as spacers on so they would not hit each other inside the fuse (it is pretty narrow). You might consider putting a little glass inside the fuse at the leading egde of the wing. I had a small bounce on landing and the fuse snapped in half right at the leading edge.

I was thinking of joining the elevator halves with some 1/8" music wire and putting just one servo in the rear for pull-pull elevator... I'd do the pull-pull rudder from the standard servo tray...

The MK crank mounts in the fuse at a point no wider than 1 7/8". It is a rod that goes all the way through the fuse and has an arm on each side and one in the middle. Run a straight rod to the center horn and then you will have the two horns on the outside just as you would with dual servos but with out the hassle of trying to match servo outputs. Kinda hard to explain but you should be able to get the idea.

MK is the brand. You can get these at Central Hobbies or Gator RC. I have started using them and love them the only thing I do not like is that the arms are not really long enough for 3D throws. Lets make some noise and have some made. I will be calling Central Today.
