the saito 91 will pull out of the hover no problamo. However, I got qa bud that has this same plane with a saito100 turning the same prop, he is alot faster than me. But if you already have a 91, Id say go with it, it will do just fine...more than enough power...Gator

termagator,
I've got the same picture in my mind but unfortunately its still 20-30' higher than yours -- call me chicken.
The FA-100 is probably a little more difficult to manage the hover than the 91 because if I pull much more than 1/3 throttle I accelerate out of the maneuver. I also need to adjust my flight conditions because it takes a lot of elevator and airlons to manage a decent hover.
I'd like to see a picture of your airplane just as it transitions from straight down dive to level landing (CROW!!!). I've been doing that all weekend, its awesome. Like the hover though I'm still playing it safe and pulling out of the dive at about 20' and gently gliding in for almost a harrier landing.
Any thought out there about changing the prop from a 14x8 to a ??? I want less speed and more torgue but have to stay in the 14 to 13 range because of ground clearance with our grass field. Even now I have to clean off the green stains on my prop at the end of the day.

Hilleja, I am having the same issue. I am going to get some taller gear. I have a Saito .91 on mine and it flies, hovers, stunts and lands great, but I would love to put a 4 or 5 pitch prop on it. If I find some taller gear that fits, I will post what I bought.
