May I ask how you guys are wiring your wings? Can't decide if I should use a Y on each side or connect 4 and slave the tops to the bottoms. Using Futaba 9C. Also, anybody unhappy running single servos w/ pushrods for rudder and ele. Seems lots of folks doubling up on the elevator servos. For the tail I'm going to install Hitec 5625's on 6 volts advertised @ 131 in./oz. optimally of torque. This only my second big airplane that makes noise. Thanks for your help.

I don't have the Cermark Pitts, but a friend does and I have flown it several times. I have a G/P Pitts. The reason for the dual elevator servos is to have a back up in the event that one fails. I can personally attest that you can land a plane safely with the elevator halves in opposite directions. If I had only one servo instead of two, and the one had failed, I would have lost a 30% scale Extra. The servo failed due to old age, and no other reason that I can find. It just wore out.
The ailerons will work just fine using one servo per side of the plane. One for each aileron, making a total of 4 is not necessary. Any good servo of 70 oz inches or better will suffice. Since you are going to run at 6 volts, the aileron speed will be even better. The guy with the Cermark Pitts slaved the ailerons together with 4-40 rods, clevises, and a control horn mounted on each aileron. I didn't note any deficiencies in performance when I flew it. Save the money and wiring and use two servos.

I am using four servos (as recommended) with a Y-connector in channel 1 (right ailerons) and channel 7 (left ailerons). This allows separate channels for left and right with differential if needed. I'm installing two servos in the tail for elevator and rudder.

I think I'm going to just use servos in the lower wing and interconnecting links to the top ailerons. That seemed to work fine on my original Pitts, (the older version). Not sure yet how I'm going to do the tail servos but I'm leaning toward doing them as per the instructions.
Another question: There was no "Pitts" logo for the fin in my kit, should there have been? Seems to me I got them with the older version. Mine is the classic red.
Everything in my kit, except the hardware, came to 109 oz.

I used 4 servos for the wings. I also used 2 JR Matchboxes to wire them. Top and Bottom right into one matchbox and top and bottom left into the other. This way I could adjust each servo seperatley. I modified tail to use 2 servos for the elevator and one for the rudder. Plane balanced perfectly with 6V battery all the wall back in the tail. I have a G-26 on the nose.

Finally decided to do away with the y-harness into channels 1 and 7. Going to route the upper ail in chs 1 and 6 and the lower in 5 and 7.
Using aileron differential and pmix 1 I can adjust the servos as I like.
Anyone using a dual rx battery for redundancy on the Pitts?

Thanks Pete. I've emailed Cermark about it, but if I don't hear back from them in a few days I'll call them. They answered my previous email on a different subject.

I'm on my second Cermark; using four 60 oz-in servos in wings, wyed upper servos into ail channel, lower two into aux channel, one elevator servo (90 oz-in) is working out fine. Run 4.8v 1000Mah JR extra pack. Weighs 10#-6 oz with supercharged YS 1.20 and I have not been out-performed by another Pitts. I had a GP 1/3 Pitts that had good power with a Moki 2.10 and my Cermark flies better. Have seen no need for aileron differential...JIM

Just wanted to let eveyone know that Cermark did answer my email about the decals. They didn't have any of the decals currently in use, but did have a set from the older Pitts. They sent me a set of these at no charge and they'll work fine.
