anything with a high wing is easy, a cessna 182 would be a great choice.

You said it, HILL202. Ultrastick 40 is a blast, but a 52 4stroke will be a little light on horsepower. Mine goes great with an OS .70. Hope you have capability to couple down elevator trim to down flaps. It will be quite necessary...JIM

You can do it to about any plane that has full span ailerons... clip the ailerons between 50% and 60%, the larger part is aileron (outboard) the smaller is flaps.
You can do it wth a Sig Four Star... but I would replace the stock tapered aileron with a constant chord one. increasing control surface area at the tip) The flaps being down would make up for the tip-stall resistance lost by not having the tapered aileron. The increased area of the surface at the tip would possibly improve roll rate.

2nd vote for the UltraStick!

Another really good one is a Kadet senior...clip the ailerons as FHHuber has stated. A flying buddy of mine has a couple of Kadet's with flaps and he loves them.

Have to agree a ultrastick 60 with flaps and if your radio can handle it you can have a blast using flaps, flapperons, spoilers ect.................Jim is correct a radio that can mix down elev trim makes it even more fun.

I have a US40 with the quad setup that I used with a 9C. I flew it with no reinforcements and no problems. Flew as advertised. It has sat in storage for a while and after reading the posts about wing mount failures I decided to reinforce it in those spots - just to be safe. Mine has a Saito 72 and has very acceptable performance. No regrets.

Which Ultra stick has the flaps... .40 or. 60 or both ? I am looking up info on them now. WHo has the best price on the net for the Stick ? As for Radio, I have a 6xas Memory TX. Will that mix, my book for it is in the truck and its too cold to go out. LOL.

Both the 40 & 60 comes with a flap option. Horizon carries them. i really haven't seen them much cheaper anywhere else, maybe 5-10 dollars. Have fun this is a great plane, I have a US60 with flaps. WHAT A BLAST!!

I want a .40 plane with .52 Motor. Will that be a dog ? Or should I go with a larger motor ? Has to be 4 stroke.

Yes, it will be a Dog with a .52 four stroke. It really needs a 72 4 stroke or a strong 50 2 stroke to give you a good performance. It will fly with a 52 four banger but that is about it. Heck, even a .40 size Trainer is almost underpowered with a 50 four stroke. No need for having flaps on a DOG [X(]. Like I wrote in the other forum, The 40 stick wants a 70 class 4 stroke (Saito 72) and the 60 stick really likes the 100 Saito. Trust me, you can't go wrong with the 60 size stick and a Saito 100. Just my $0.02

As for good deals, try the for sale section here or maybe ebay for a good deal.

Yeah, Thanks. So a .70 or so on a .40 Ultra is not too much. Thanks.
