Are the Dave Patrick models available other than through Dave Parick Models or Cheif Aircraft? My local hobby shop says I have to go direct to Dave Patrick Models, is this so?

I have seen alot of hobby shops with them. I have two and got them from my LHS.

Very few if any Hobby shops carry DPM. It's like getting limited edition prints!!! 1st off Dave has so few and the demand is so high. I dont think Chief even has them in house. Once they get an order, they call Dave and he ships one. This happened with Chief and Aeroworks with me. The plane came straight from aeroworks.
You will probably have to call DPM and talk to Sandy. But be patient! Sometimes it takes awhile for them to ship! I'm currently waiting for a 120 Ultimate that should ship any day. DPM's planes are of excellent craftsmanship(especially the new ultimates!!!).
