I saw some pictures of a PT 19 from Horizon, but when I looked in their catalog I couldn't find it. Is it discontinued, does anyone know if any are still around to be bought, is it a quality ARF?
Thanks
Jeff

I believe it has been discontinued for some time now. I just finished assembling mine, and it looks like a nice ARF. You may consider looking at the Great Planes Version, they are very similar.

www.sheldonshobbies.com still has one in stock.
I had one with a Zen G-23 and my friend had a Saito 150 in his.
This is a very good ARF, fly's well and is well built and covered with Ultra Coat.
The tires that come with it are too big for scale but you can change them.
For simplicity, use the factory tail wheel installation.

Sold mine. It's an overweight pig. Look elsewhere if you want a decent plane. Mine weighed over 17lbs with a ST3000. Built it the way the book said. IMO- this plane shouldn't weigh much over 14 pounds. I'd guess that it's built to crash; rather than built to fly nicely.

I have four flights on mine and it flies like a dream. My first low wing airplane. It is very stable. Mine also has a G23 on it. It may be heavy but it doesn't effect the way it flies, after all it is not a 3D aircraft.

I was disapointed with my PIG - 19 also. Could not for the life of me get it to do waterfalls or torque rolls with a G23. I'm thinking of putting a DA 100 on it.
Kidding!
I love this plane. It flies smooth and scale. It is a real beauty on the ground or in the air.

Yo Steve D. The GP wing does not come even close. It's about 2-3 inched narrower at the chord. I was told I got the last HP wing Kit in the country almost a year ago. Sorry! Flyboy 1950 (Bob)

My friend Jay crashed his Top Flite P-51 and I got what was left.
The cockpit was in good shape so I cut the whole thing out with a razor saw and saved it. It was detailed and had a pilot figure and a chart on the dash.
When I got bored with the PT-19 I removed the cockpits and wood work and grafted in the Mustang cocplit, looked great. I even shortend the PT-19 role bar that sits between the cockpits and installed it on the radio shelf behind the pilot. The only markings I changed were to add
"PT-51" to the tail.
People would walk past it in the pits, do a double-take, turn around and go back to look at it.
Sorry, I only have a still photo of it.
