Galen,
I am sure the Hinge points would work well, but the CA hinges are just fine. I have built 2 of these planes with gas engines and NEVER a problem with the CA hinges.

Go with the 310 size Robarts. Rub the elbow joint with chap-stick
to prevent epoxy from getting into joint.
I glue mine into the main surfaces first. Making sure they hang
down square with the trailing edge. Once cured then attach the control surfaces.

Thanks to all who replied. I am not worried about using CA hinges on this model. There have simply been too many successfully flown for there to be a problem (for me not to know about it via these forums -- that is!
). It's just that I've done CA hinges, and done iron on gapless hinges and wanted to give the Robarts a try. I try to push my knowledge a little with each model that I build. Even if it's only assembling an ARF...
Cheers!
