Default Engine for H9 Super Cub?

I would like to use a gas engine...but the G38 I have is probably to heavy.
Cub Specs: 100" wing span, weight 13-16 lbs

The Hangar 9 manual says:
.61-1.48 2-stroke
1.00-1.80 4-stroke
23cc Gas

The engines have to choose from are:
-Supertigre 2500, 25cc, weighs 55oz
-Supertigre 3000. 30cc, weighs 52oz
-G38, 38cc, weighs 73oz

Thanks in advance.

HI my Friend,

Working on my Super Cub now...
The G 23 gas is no longer in production..
It is now the G 26 an improved version..
SAME size with improvements...

I think a Gas engine would be best with
the World Tex covering ...

The mounts included fit a G 26 so I have
gone with that engine..

Zenoah has been making aircraft engines
for quite awhile...

Walt...

If you already own a G38, by all means use it. My son and I just completed a H9 Super Cub about a month ago. We plan to tow sailplanes with it (3 great launches so far) and so we opted for the G38. We did have to place about 14 oz. of lead in the tail, or we could have shifted servos to the rear and move the receiver/battery pack around, but we went the simple way and just added the lead. The Super Cub flies great and climbs out awesome with a sailplane in tow, and that G38 sounds scale going by like that. Of course the G26 will tow or fly scale or what ever you want it to do, but we really love that H9 Super Cub/G38 combo.
To see pictures of ours and also a H9 J3 Cub with a G23 about to take off with a sailplane, go to www.flintflyer.com Welcome to the Cub Club.
