I've now had 2 flights on my 1/4 scal Cap 232 and it flies great! However, when I touch down for landings, the plane automatically tips on its nose and flops over on its back! I've tried adjusting the CG but thus far no luck. I don't want to push the CG back too far, so I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem with this plane. I'm running a Saito 1.80 with no dual rates on the controller. I'm thinking about replacing the landing gear with something that may put the wheels farther towards the nose, just to add some stability. Any info would be helpful.

I had the same problem with mine. Are you using the stock wheels and pants? Are you flying off of a grass field? If so what I did was get larger wheels and I took off my wheel pants problem solved. My wheels where binding inside the pants and flipping it over. My cg is where the book says. Good Luck!

I've had a couple of caps (H9), one with a YS140 and now one with a bme50. The YS landed easier than the heavy gasser, but neither of them float in. You have to maintain some speed or you'll stall, which would start the plane pitching downward just before touch down. Also, check your elevator trim. I'm not a great flyer and the cap can sometimes be a handful.
