well i finally attempted a takeoff today. winds were around 10 mph probably not good for the 1st flight.! i didnt get too much speed initially then the elevators were set very high because it wanted to tip while warming up so i put more throw to keep the ass down! anyway she started to bank left (exactly where 2 lonely spectators had to be!) so i banked right and lost it!! too little airspeed too much throw all around. they were set to the instructions exactly though! ( i wish i could read chinese though)!!!!!!!!
anyone else have this plane?? if so whats your take on it?? how does your spitfire handle?? at what throws?? thanks!! ps on fractured a left retract[>:]

Next time let up on the up elevator as the speed builds up and it won't leap off the ground and go left.
Also don't use the ailerons when at slow speed when it does leap off the ground ....use the rudder to yaw the airplane to the right.....and the wings will keep flying.
When you bank with the ailerons it causes the banked wing to lose some lift...... and at slow speed, you know what happens, the aircraft will spiral into that wing.

thanks i find this out for the second time in a week!![>:]my cessna did the exact same thing. it sucks when your being too careful with the models first flight! with the cessna, all went well on round 2. to be honest i hope alot respond to discuss the model period. its definetly not my favorite one and i just assume put it away if it gives me as much bull**** as it did building it.. i built kits quicker with less problems!!

I've had one for a couple years. Started out with an O.S. .61fx, and now it has a Jett .50 in the nose.
One of the best flying planes I have ever owned. Not much tougher to fly than my first low wing (2nd plane).
