25 size bipe

Who makes a good 25 size bipe, I have a 40 4-stroke looking for a new home and I want a little bipe to putt around with and was hoping to find a Fokker D-VII for it but all I can find is 40 size and up. I did have a waco 30 but wanted something differtent. If anyone knows where I can find one let me know, I would prefur a ARF but kits are good too but don't have tons of time to build but will find time if need be.
Thanx for any help

I searched a little on the ACE 4-40 bipe and I think it would be hard to find one, And I just looked at the Pacific Aeromodel Tiger Moth 30......$219.00 for a 30 size plane is too much although it does look great and has tons of detail bu I don't really want to spend that much on a little plane. I get a feeling a kit is what I will end up with but I can't find any of those either. Thanks for the replies so far and I'll keep looking.

The World Models (Airborne) Ultimate-30 is a great flier on a .40 to .56 four stroke. The price is right and at $149.00 it's a very nice plane.

How do you guys think an OS .40LA would work on the WM Ultimate-30? Would it be worth it to try? My nephew is looking to upgrade is SuperStar Select and this would be too cool if he could use his SS equipment for this.
Thanks!
Thanks!

The LA would be borderline on that plane, but the warning is that it is not for a low time pilot. The little Ultimate is a full tilt adrenaline machine for aerobatics.[8D] I had flown mine with a Saito .45 then a .50 and finally a .56. It was a blast on the .56 and the roll rate was measured in RPMs!

Kinda late for a reply here but yes I love the WM Ultimate Bipe. Mine was powered by a 32sx with a pitts muffler and was absolutely wonderful. As quint-RCU mentioned, it is NOT for the beginner but for the sport acrobat, this was a sheer pleasure to fly. Wish I could find another one in Taiwan.

fourstroke, I'm glad you brought this back to life. Just a couple of days ago I posted a question about finding a plane that I could fly with my OS .40 la. This is one of the planes I listed as one that might work but no one had any experiences with it. Do you think my OS LA would fly this plane well? What's the quality? Is the plane squirelly on the ground?

I'm doing a similar search. I've got a Saito .45 and am looking for a suitable ARF bipe. So far, the only one is the WM Ultimate. I was hoping for something a little more "traditional", but not quite so docile as the tiger moth seems to be. The Sportsman Waco 30 would have been nice, but that's no longer available in the US. So far, no luck. The owner of the LHS said the small bipes are too troublesome on the ground, so nobody buys them.

Well if you've flown a Cub, you've flown the worst ground handling plane period. The Ultimate was fine on the ground and it floated in nicely for landings. The 40la and 45 Saito will be perfect. My 32sx was too light and necessitated the placement of the 4AA cell battery pack in front of the firewall. A little more weight upfront would've been better.
The quality of this kit is incredible. Really top notch. The wings are one peice (each) and sheeted for incredible strength. The struts do take a little time to put together but once together the plane was strong as an ox. The plane turned out pretty light and could do all the aerobatics I needed. Furthermore, it was quick and beautiful in the air... get it... you won't regret it!

Ive got one of these Ultimate-30's sitting here and was thinking of putting in a ys 63s in it. Would this be way too much engine for this model. Im looking for at least a 1:1 power to weight ratio.

I had one with an OS 48 four stroke.... An absolute rocket ship... I added some down thrust, and some right thrust.... It's actually an easy model to fly, and lands very slow..... Blenders, and tumbling is it's best feature.... It's not 3d, the control surfaces are kind of small.

Hi.....I put an OS25 on an ACE Simple Ultimate and it's a hoot!! It's a bit tricky to take off from grass but with skis off snow it's a blast ! Cheap and easy to build if you can find one.

I have a problem seeing it real good in the air it's the grey version and gets small real quick. I have other planes I enjoy flying more so it sets. I have had it for 2 years and it only has a few flights. I am going to try to decide here in the next few days. If I do decide to sell I will probably post it & the engine here on RC UNIVERSE. I originaly bought it for my son and he didn't want it, I put it up for sale on RC Universe and thought it was sold but the sell fell through so I assembled it and flew it a few times.
