Hi guys/gals,
I just got back from the Nats where I snapped a pic of what was reported to be a prototype for a new Ultimate Bipe ARF made by Hangar 9. If Memory serves, it is 46% scale and is powerd by a 150cc twin gasser.
I believe Mike McConville placed very well in the finals w/ this bird - pretty ain't she?? The talk along the flight line was that it was still in the developmental stage and that production had NOT yet been confirmed.
So, for you ultimate fans, write H9 and tell 'em you WANT IT!
Enjoy!
PS. That skinny, ugly dude grining and drooling by the plane is me!

I think this might be by Aeroworks. They got one coming out in ARC to cover version. It is 42% scale. I guess Chip Hyde will be flying this at the 2002 TOC. I might be wrong about this so dont bite my head off.
Thanks Robert

Right, and there's Horryzon's web site on the rudder too!
I overheard two team JR pilots talking about it (Quique Somenzini and Peter Goldsmith), so I'm pretty sure it's a Hangar 9 prototype.
Speaking of which, here's another pic, this time it's Quique starting his pattern plane during the finals of the FAI class assisted by his lovely wife.

Maybe you can tell me this. I saw that Hangar 9 was coming out with a pattern ARF that will take a 90 size fourstroke. I think I saw this on ebay.

I do not know if H9 is comming with a 42% Ultimate, however Aeroworks is. I contacted them last week and they are not expected to be released to the public until December. No price has been released as of yet.
I put my name on a list.
