Default Tail heavy Twist

Got my Twist together. Using an Evo .46. Upon checking the CG, which is supposed to be 4 to 5 inches from LE, mine is very
tail heavy. I need about 6 oz. in the nose to balance close to the 4 inch mark. Even with the Evo, it doesn't even come close to the listed CG in the manual. Anyone else have a very tail heavy Twist?

Dave,
Mine had a TT 54 4c and I used a Higley heavy hub inside the spinner to get about 4 3/8 4 1/2" balance. This was with the motor as far forward as possible on the mount beams. The battery pack was next to fuel tank also.

Wow.....I have 1200 mah battery up against the fuel tank. You know the fuel tank area is rather large. I have the tank surrounded by foam. I also put in a 4.2 oz metal plate in with the fuel tank. I then drilled 2 holes in the wood up front (the furthest you can go!!!) and put on a bolt with lock wash on each side. This comes out to a little of 6 oz. The plane with no fuel seems to balance at roughly 4 3/8 or so. If I take out the bolts, it will balance at just about the 5 inch mark. Hmmmm...depending on how this Evo .46 flies it, I may have to
go after a larger motor thus giving me some extra weight in front and more power. Maiden voyage in about 2 hours. I've set the throws
at 50% except rudder. I will try it there and make adjustments.
