you'll be fine, with your experience , just remember to keep your speed up a bit for landing. And remember, don't hit the retract switch until your airborne....

And I suppose land with the wheel side down with the retracts down ..Check !!! I think I got it now ..L.O.L... We were trying to do touch and goes once with our SPAD Dog Fighters once .We almost pulled it off . We kept hitting the props thow . So my buddy comes in low and inverted and managed to touch the rudder and go the first time it worked ..The second time it wasnt so pretty .It ripped the rudder half off and sent her tumbling ..Just had to be a rock there where his Norvel hit at a high rate of speed . Bummer it was a sweet little motor ....

Don't worry about it , I flew one with a G90 on it and I have another with a Saito 100. Very stable plane. Once trimmed out it holds and flys like its on rails. I do hope you beefed up the retract mounting blocks, When my P-51 with the G90 went in a couple years ago from battery failure, that thing was scattered over 1oo feet but those retracts were still in their place.!

Another thing, if you dead stick and you know your not going to make it back to the runway. LEAVE THE GEAR UP AND LAND ON THE BELLY- If you bring the gear down there willnot be much left of your wing

I bought it used .. Maybe I should check them retracts .. I tried to balance it last night .It was taking a ton of weight to balance it with out the cowl on . (( Its on order )) I thought the cowl cant be that heavy .. Well it turns out the guy must have replaced the motor mount and has the motor sitting back 3/4 of an inch to much ..If I get her moved forward that should help .Gotta take a trip to the old Hobby shop tommrow and find a longer mount .. I also wonder if we will get some good flying days this summer here in northern Wisconsin .. Its been the worst summer ive seen . Record cold temps and seems like theres always wind .Tried to get out today but by the time I got to the field wind picked up to 15 to 20 .Sometimes it would gust real high . I took off with the Old Goldberg Cub . It got way to windy and had a heck of a time getting her to land . Ild bring her around into the wind and she would just float and hang there . Well maybe Sept will be better !!!!
