Default Question to all Ryan STA owners please

I heard a special servo reverser is needed for this plane.
I own a digital 8 channel programable radio.
Can the radio just make the reverse or I still need to buy the special device to reverse servos????

Depending on what radio you have it can be done. I happen to have the Eclipse 7 which will do it with some configuration but if I am not mistaking I am only limited to trimming the master channel. If you have a futaba or JR 8 channel I believe it can be done. I elected to use the servo reverser.

T28, I can answer this for Motoadve, yes its for the elevator, I am assuming that his radio is the 8 channel Futaba and if so I believe it is capable of trimming both channels aux and master.

Motoadve try posting the mixing question under the radio section on this forum. There is a thread specially made for Futaba questions depending yours is a fataba.

You plug one elevator servo into the elevator channel and the other elevator servo into an auxiliary channel. (you need at least a 5 channel receiver) Then you mix the two channels (elev and aux) at 100 percent and reverse the servo in the auxiliary slot....simple! The transmitter does all the work...your receiver just takes the orders and has no idea the aux channel is driving your other elevator half. Your manual should explain this.

Default Motoadve

Plug one elev. servo into ch-2.....plug the other one into ch-5 (the retract channel).

Then..."slave" ch-5 to ch-2...then use the servo reversing, ATV throws, and such as necessary.

Dave.
