Today I flew the Macchi for the second time. Despite some
minor engine problems, the flight was almost flawless. The
airplane is a big hit at the local field. It flies like it's on rails
and looks really good on a low pass with the gear sucked up.
This is my first real warbird and I like it! Although it's early in
the life of the airplane, so far the airframe and the plastic parts
are holding up well. The only complaint I have is that the motor
mount is soft and I will probably replace it. Tomorrow my friend
is coming with his Kyosho P51 and we're going to have a little Warbird rally. Can't wait!

Hi Ghost,
The Macchi is a C205 Veltro and is made by VQ Models. It is in a
yellow and Green North African theater camo scheme. Morris
Hobbies distributes these models. VQ also makes a Mig 3,
a P51B and D, an A26 Invader, a P39 and a Texan. The single
engine Warbirds have 62 inch wingspans and take a 2 stroke
46 or comparable size 4 stroke. I power mine with a Enya 50CX
and it seems to have plenty of power. There is an earlier thread
entitled VQ models where I have 2 other previous posts.
