Dude ... do a search in this matter, its been asked before. There is nothing about this plane that you really need to be aware of other than:
- Throttle linkage, you need to make guides using small balsa blocks, the linkage will get pushed by the wing if you do not make a guide
- Rudder/Ele horns ... watch out for this as when you use maximum throw the elevator and rudder horns can touch, esp when you are doing a snap roll
Other than that she is a breeze to build.

I know. I did that already. Was just hoping to get some more. I like to see build pictures. They really give you a great idea of what the plane is like.

I just got the fun star about a week ago and its great but i already snapped it in half. the battery went dead in the air and well you do the math. But its a great plane to fly. the only thing is the tail wheel assembly its not very good. but the plane was fun wile it lasted.
Tip make sure the battery is charged. i going to try to fix it and if that doesn't work. i just going to wait until tower hobbies gets the fuse kit.

av8r1, put white monocote trim on the bottom of the wing! It's very hard to tell which way it's going in the air without this. (other colors won't work because they just show through the transparent yellow covering on the opposite side of the wing)

I love the Funstar!
I must say though DO NOT get this plane to fast, you will get flutter and rip the ailerons right off, don't ask me how I know.[sm=lol.gif]
I have had 2 of these, here is the second one.notice that I have wide strips of trim on the bottom of the wing(bright green),this plane is VERY hard to see it's attitude at a distance..so I try to keep it close and the colored trim helps too.
I have a Magnum .46 in mine and MORE than enough power.
For 99.00 can't beat the price for a really fun 3D airplane.
Gets lots of looks at the field too.

Thanks for the replies guys. Nice picture P-40LUVR. That's what caught my eye with the Funstar, it's looks. It reminds me of the Northeast Sailplanes electric Vermont Belle 1300 which I like very much. The VB supposedly flies well fast and slow due to its wing type. Very similar fuselage as the Funstar, but quite different wing. But, it's very expensive and smaller.
I still don't know what I'm going to get. I'm looking for a low-wing aerobatic plane. I'm considering the following: Graupner Extra 300S .60, Seagull Extra 300S .60, Phoenix Sukhoi SU-31 .46, Seagull Spacewalker II, or the Funstar. They all look like great planes. Tough to decide. I'd like to try them all, but that's not practical. I'll just have to pick one and see where it takes me.

av8r1 - the Funstar is very different from the aerobatic planes. The Phoenix SU31 is a great plane, I had the BH one which is the same, flies great on a 46 2C but would be even more fun with something like a Saito 82. I also flew the Extra 300S, darn nice too but its a 60 sized planes and you feel that its more sttable. Spacewalker is okay for acrobatics but not as fun as the SU31 or Extra 300. If you want something good but cheap try the Black Horse Extra 300 (60), they produce planes for Graupner. Go to www.blackhorsemodel.com
You will not regret the BH Extra 300 (60).

My suggestion for an inexpensive aerobatic plane, the Phoenix Giles G-202. I also have the Phoenix Sukhoi, but the Giles, IMO, tracks much better and responds quicker to your thumbs. I am very sold on the Phoenix ARF's...Dale
