Has anyone else experienced this?? I am recovering my 4*40 ARF and found that the balsa around the mounting bolts had cracked and was actually coming loose.. I don't do that many aerobatics and it was a 40-sized engine afterall
Anyway, I reinforced the area with some light ply.. just curious about your experiences..

That is indeed what is cracking and it was an ARF.. There is plywood where the screw head comes overlying the balsa.. However, the plywood had torqued into the balsa on both sides causing cracks.. I put a big plywood square over both screw holes (one piece) to fix and prevent future cracks..
