Default Need help with Model Tech P47 engine/fuel tank

I'm installing a Mag 120RFS on my Model Tech P47. The engine installation has me stumped. I would rather install it inverted so I don't have to butcher the cowl. The center line of the fuel tank is way high from the center line of the carb. I cannot lower the tank anymore because of the notch where the wing fits into the fuse. Need some direction here.
