Hi Jim just had a look at mine the white covering on the fuse is over the yellow but on the horizontal stabliserand elevators its just white and looks like the ruder is yellow over white

Thats cool , wanted just do something a little different on the fuze sides, dont care for the white coming to a point up the side . thanks again, Builder jim

Hey Jim... just a point also, the turtle deck aft from the cockpit is, as most sportman aviation planes are, a formed sheet of foam cemented to a thin layer of balsa. This is a fairly new technique and may interfer with ya plans... If you draw a line from the bottom of the cockpit backwards this is the area of foam/balsa. Think of it as a half a foam coffee cup stuck on the back. The bottom area is traditional built up balsa as under the stablisers for strength.

[]Thanks for the heads up Phildo, have worked with foam before, may work with white on the side by removing it, may just leave it alone, or recover the whole thing, not sure of the material anyway, it may be oracoat? If I do recover it, Id use coverite fabric, been looking on the corby web sites and there are two sceems that are nice, coverite can have trims painted on . Ive decited to go with the OS70 they have a little more snot than the mag and if Iam adding a few oz then can use it. THANKS Builder jim

don't know if popup blockers efect this if you have one try to disable it and then post

OK, so who's going to try a pair of floats on theirs? [ use Falcon Floats, and epoxy in a mounting plate just behind the trailing edge, bolt a second " dural " landing gear to the rear mount and attatch to floats ]. I have a rather large "Float-Fly" in Rexburg, Idaho this weekend, then we'll post a bunch of photos I have about a dozen flights with floats and the Starlet is rock-solid, very smooth to fly and set down on water. Seeya in a couple weeks, MM

[sm=drowning.gif]mormonmike good luck and many landings, have decited to make a project out of this plane, will recover in white coverite and paint the sceme in plum and lavinder, will run OS70 fourstroke and sliding canopy, switches and such on the floor, full interior, and ram nav lites, its a very nice and unusal plane and leads it self to some dressing up. went to corby web site and found plenty to model thanks again, BUILDER JIM

Jim, Strange, except for one other guy in Washington state, were the only "yanks" I know of working with this plane........ Everybody else is from Australia. Can't figure out why there is'nt much intrest in the particular little ARF. This really is an exceptional one. Oh well. No responses on putting floats to this either. Maybe some photos in a couple weeks will change that. MM

NO, WE HAVE THEM JUST NOT ALLOWED TO FLY FROM THEM AROUND MY AREA, BUT CAN FROM THE LAKES THOUGH YOULL FIND THEM BUSY AND MOST LIKLY HAVE AND INCOUNTERS. SO INSTEAD OF DRIVING A DISTANCE TO DO SO I KEEP MINE ON WHEELS, THEY HAVE FLOAT FLYS HERE IVE HEARD BUT THERE A PIECE FROM MY HOME, DONT KNOW WHY THESE PLANES HAVNT BEEN POPULAR, CAN ONLY GUESS, ECONOMANY, DONT BUY IN THE SUMMER, 3D REASONS MAYBE, MOST LIKLY WILL LATER IN THE YEAR, SEEN THIS BEFORE AND EVAN SOME THAT WERE GOOD NEVER DID TAKE HOLD.
