Default hovering

Hovering on the field usually in the center of the field tends to aggravates the old cub guy. Even if no one else is flying.

Default can I hover

well, that is all a matter of interpretation...can I stop forward flight , point the nose up, and keep it semi-stationary..sure, can I smoothhly transition out...no. Some of the most fantastic maneuvers I have accomplished were completely on accident. I consider myself a "magical flyer", you have to watch REAL CLOSE from start to finish, because I will not repeat the trick. (refer back to my second sentence of this paragraph for more claraification). have a good day guys, I was going to go flying, but it started to rain.

Default RE: caution-ultra stick wing failure

While flying my Ultra-Stick 120 yesterday something weird happened after pulling level from a stall-turn. The airplane made a sudden pitch down. I landed and inspected the airplane. The front mounting block for the wing separated from the fuselage side on the right. It's not supported in there very well. I'm going to add some triangle stock to try to beef this up.

Btm said everything I would recommend. If your in this hobby any length of time you will be able and know to look for weak points in these ARF's and strengthen them before you fly. Some people don't want to or have time to build, so you must rely on what the manufacturer is sending is of decent quality. If it is truely junk they won't sell them very long. Word gets around quickly on this forum. I routinely post if I am going to buy a new plane to find out pros and cons of a particular model on this forum and I have made some pretty good decisions based on feedback Iv'e gotten. ARF's today are pretty amazing for the money and getting better all the time. A lot of the quality increases are because of people making there voices heard here. Horizon is very good with customer service and you might be surprised on the out come if you send your plane back.
