Ok, I think that we are forgetting the percentage wise the most expensive item, besides that hunk of wood that BVM is selling for $1200 bucks. DuBro's little package of 4x40 1.25" bolts!!! Actually any screw, bolt, nut or anything in those little small packages that Dubro puts out
Lee.
p.s. I still can't believe that someone would pay $1200 for some $10 dollar set of coaster wheels, $20 dollars for some lamenated wood and $30 dollars for some U channel steal. As PT and someone else here says, there is a sucker born every minute!

Just like anything else, if you want it bad enough money's no object...
When a auction or swap meet comes along I'll ask friends if their going, some say "no, there's nothing I need". I alway's say, "you don't know what you need till you see it".

I got a good one for you , one littel turney thing that is a "right angle " and screws on engine , one dirty in bag -extension tube , and one other little turney thing that screws on your muffler at the end of this dirty extension .
All that goodness so that your 4 stroke big cigar muffler exist out the bottom of my ww2 plane and not the side ,
$48 bucks , That 25% of the cost of the engine its bolted on ....lol

I have to agree with digital servos. Gotta be one of the top ten rip offs. There ain't enough room in a servo case to cram $100 worth of electronics into.

The fact I was trying to put across was that some people pay too much for water.
And not everyone buys water in the fashion that you do.....[sm=bananahead.gif]

I guess is is all relative to your paycheck.. Most if not all of the the Jet guys have deeper pockets than me so 50$ is most likely one hours pay.. After getting into Giant Scale I laugh at the 40 size guys who complain about buying parts for their planes..

Agreed, I remember a couple years ago I used to balk at spending $500-$1000 on an ARF Warbird with a nice Saito 4-stroke. Looking back, I miss those days now that I'm sinking my money into jets. The fuel tanks on my F-15 were $200.00, the engine was $3700... etc...
Nitro is still rediculously priced in my opion. $15-20 a gallon for Byron is crazy. Heck, five gallons of jet fuel mixed with an $8 quart of turbine oil only runs be about $25.00. (Then again, that only lasts about 9 flights though. [

Well, since there have been a few comments concerning the price of jet stuff here's a link to the cost of owning one. Admittedly, it's a high end jet with everything but the kitchen sink amortized in. For entertainment purposes only. Enjoy.

I just spend $50 on an 18 inch Mejzlik Prop... And that's not the bad part.. I think if I'm gonna spend $50 on an 18 inch Hunk of CF then they should at least tell me when or before I order it that it won't ship for ten days.. Instead day five of waiting I get an e-mail saying it would ship in five days! So here we are 12 days (Bussiness) after the order and it's SUPPOSED to be here monday!
I don't fly the jets but I'm 20 minutes away from metropolis and I go up there during the jet rally and I got to looking at like 2 BVM wheels... $50!
Some of the Incowl mufflers are getting steep too.. I paid $6 for my Bisson. But I ike how she sounds.
No ones even mentioned Tru-Turn Spinners what i it like $150 to get one of those dudes ready to go?

When I see these Barbies in a plane I can't help but thinking of the "Divorced Barbie".... you know... the one that comes with everything Ken used to have.
