Went off real good this morning. With that G2300 up front, lack of power was not an issue. Did not need much trimming at all. A bit of aileron and elevator and that was it. I am running a 14/8 on it and was going real well. So I'll leave it on for a few flights and then switch to a 14/12 or 14/14 apc to get it going.
Landing was good but fast which was all my fault. Those Kavan wheels helped slided it on around when the end of the runway came up quick. Only bad point is that color. its worse to keep track of than my little Miss America. So I am going to put a big white stripe out on the edge of the wing to help keep an eye on it in the corners.
So, for some of you who bought this thing on ebay, I am impressed.

Weight? Ah, I dunno! Hadn't even thought of it , Let me go check here. Looks like a hair over 8lbs. I did add a bit of tail weight in the back of the air scoop.
Bob, you know you ought to get Dub to redesign or make some kind of an "add on" to change the direction of the exhaust from blowing straight out all over everything to a bit of an angle. I know they make those plastic/rubber deflectors but they look bulky and stupid.
Overall, this was a definite thumbs up on the plane. Maybe next flight I'll try the flaps.

Well back in the beginning of February there were a bunch of these planes on ebay,so I took a shot at it and got it for $160. I just took a look and don't see any but the seller who is apparently some sort of a distributor sold a bunch of them. It is a 65" wing or about the size of the H9 Marie. It has retracts , flaps and the covering is dead on the colors of monokote. There is no name no place or anything other than a arf in a box the build was fine.
I thought the overall quality was as good as WM and I have a few of those. The quality is above most of those chinese junkers and half a dozen other brands , just no idea who made them. If you get a chance to get one, You ought to take it, shoot even the horizontal stab is like a real airfoil, not some flat wood thing.
I beefed up the firewall and retracts blocks. Up til now , I am impressed but thats all i can tell you about it.

Nope, I didn't get one. I ended up with a .45 size WM clone for a really good price. I can see significant differences between it and a real WM. The fit and finish just isn't the same. I think it's going to get a Tower .75 when I get around to assembling it. I'm pretty sure this link matches your plane: http://nanlong.en.alibaba.com/product/50044251/50200976

Actually, at the toledo show Dub and I threw around a few ideas for an exhaust deflector that looks better that the rubbers. The trick is coming up with one that stays on properly, and still permits some directional adjustment.

This thing sounds real good but does not "get on the pipe" as with most other engines with his exhausts or other brands with Ultrathrusts etc. You know how when you open up the throttle, it only goes so hig in rpms then their is a noticable chnage in higher rpms when the pipe kicks in. This combo just goes straight up. I don't know why but the overall performance is real good. I'll let ya know after I change props

That muffler is fairly long. Actually has a few staging points. It is likely pre-staging up on the muffler real early in the throttle range (40-50% throttle), then transitions up to the top end near 85-90% power. The sleeve is not agressively timed. So there is likely no real noticable rpm step. More of just a torque curve shift rather than a giant rpm jump. I find that with some of the bigger engines. Once it the air, it should stage just a bit more up on the pipe into the more useful power range.
Im glad its working well for you

I just finished adding white stripes to the outer edge of each wing. I fly some large patterns and its easy to roll it inverted on a corner unless i have better visual references. I can't just zip the plane around the corners like a little Q500 or the wings will fold and I have them glassed together.

2nd flight went off real good this morning. I was able to get a good look at it today without the first flight "jitters." I am running the 14/8 apc and it was pulling real good but I thinkk the 14/12 apc will be "the prop." Sure has a unique sound to it with aht Jett Muffler on it.

Thought i would update this thing here. I put flight #5 on it today with the new prop of a 14/12 apc up from the 14/8. Nothing short of what i expected. The plane is a solid speedster. I would recommmend this setup over a 120 fourstroke. Even if you mount it sideways on a H9 65"Marie or Miss America. You definitely will not be disappointed.

I`ve been thinking about getting this same Voodoo Mustang you have.
I wanted to ask you about it.
Have you put more flights on it, if so Hows it holding up??
How are the retracts and do they hold up well on landings??
Is the plane built together nice and strong??
Is it all yellow on the bottom?
Does it come with a good manual and was the CG in the right spot as listed?
Do you know if you can get spare parts for it??
Thanks for any more info. you can give.

I have about 5 flights on it now and to be honest here , its a nice flying and stable plane. I am impressed with the construction which looks to be as good as any of the WM planes I have. The gear is okay but with the engine I put into it and a couple extra servos, its a bit wobbly. If the plane makes it through this season, then I am going to change it out.
There is no way the gear would make it on a grass field but this is minor stuff and fixable. The plane is screaming for positive changes to make a good plane better. Is it back on Ebay again? It is at least a 2 stroke .90size plane or at least a saito 100 but a 120 would be better.
It is yellow on the bottom. I would not count on spare parts considering how the plane is acquired. Later

Bob--I put 2 more flights on it today and all went okay. I did take some numbers though. With the 14/12apc, I was getting 9600rpm. I think this is going to be the magic prop here going up from the 14/8. Although, I cannot fly them together, I believe this thing is as fast as the UltraSport. So in a round about way, I guess I acheived my goal.
Very stable plane. I had this going 3 ft off the deck full speed and it was like on a rail.

Sounds like you have nailed a real good combination.
