Looking for a beginer pattern plane for 2stroke .90
For the $, this plane looks like it's worth a try, or do
you think I'd be better off in the long run going w/ the
tai-ji 60 by world models.

My Feedback: (1)
I had one, fitted with YS91. Good points are that it is most enjoyable to fly, though it is not a true pattern plane nor a true 3D plane, it is somewhere in between. With extreme movements and a rearward CG I was getting superb knife edge spins, inverted flat spins, rolling loops etc. It is too heavy for a 91 for unlimited verticals, the UK importer was demonstrating it with a 1.20. It flies well enough on a 90 but you won't hover it with a 90.
Mine blew apart on its third blender. Destroyed the plane, killed the receiver and damaged the YS. Wing is all balsa, no spruce spars or ply reinforcement and the joiner tube is merely glued into a slot cut into the shear web whose grain is horizontal and just waiting to split open. I have been told of two others that came apart in flight, one of which was not even manouevering at the time.
So, very nice to fly but I have deep reservations about GSP's build quality for these large, powerful, heavy models.
