I have just aquired this plane and after some repair fitted a Zenoah G26 gas engine.
Could someone please tell me where the CG should be?
Also is there anything in the manual about wing incidence? Any tips on this plane would be greatly appreciated, as I don't have the manual.
Is there anywhere I can download the manual ?
Thanks

My Feedback: (2)
hi
u r lucky...
i had the same plain with a g26+smoke system.
1. it is a butifull plain
2. reenforce the lamding gear wood plate..the g26 is too heavy so 1 heavy landing and the gears are gone!!!
3. the cover do not support gasolin!!! the residue from the motor will pill of the cover so either do a new cover,( recomended but more work) or add some monocote/oracover at the side of the exh exit.... u can paint/polish with varnish on the edge of the wings where the cover ends, this way it wont pill off for some time.....clean the AP after each flight from the exh residues....
4. all CMP models have an error on calculating the CG!!!! your CG is in the place where it says in the manual , hover, the g26 is heavy so you will get more nose wight - thats fine for the first flight! later on, move the motor as needed ans add wight to the tail if any????
5. reenforce the 2 screw places for the upper wing !!! on time the screw will penetriat the wing balsa..... just add some 0.2mm wood plate and u r good.
6. u should reenforce the firewall for the g26. the original one is too slim!!!! add a 2-3mm wood plate to the firewall together with a fiberglass cloth all arround glued with a 30min epoxy.
7. usually no vibrations, but add some rubbers to the motor stand to reduce any.
u can email me, and i will send you pictures of my Ceagle together with motor mount, servos etc..

Hi Gadix
Thanks for the reply and the info.
I really need to know where the CG should be as I do NOT have the manual.
When I aquired this plane it didn't have a firewall , so I made one from 5mm ply.
I also strenghtened up the front end of the plane and around the landing gear section.
I always use nylon bolts on landing gear , saves a lot of repair work !
I will have a look at that top wing tonight.
