This is a story about a person in the hobby that never made a national name for himself, and is only known to the people here in the Bowling Green, Ky area. A great builder and father. Always willing to help no matter how much time it took. A good friend that would stop at the store on Friday's just to talk. If he had it he would give it to you and ask nothing in return. His joy was watching you fly. This is kind of person that makes this hobby great. He gave without thought of getting anything back but your thanks. His name is Mike Tidwell. My Friday afternoons will never be the same. Dennis

He would be here now talking about his plans for the week-end. His son would be telling me I need to clean more. If i had a plane in the back, he would be working on it. This is going to be a long Friday until closing. Dennis

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Tidwell, he was fun to talk too. I last saw him at Superman right before he got the diagnosis. I met him years ago and he was always proud of Justin and seemed to be a great father and friend. Please tell Justin he is in our prayers and if he needs anything to please let us know.

Mike was a great guy.....Theres no one in this world that can tune an engine better than he could.. He was a god send to me and many others at the field.. Our club will never be the same without him... Dennis, you basically summed it all up... A giving guy who never expected anything in return.. He is greatly missed...... There will always be a spot for him on that table at the field where he enjoyed spending his time the most...... god rest his soul....and I pray for his family...
