Interbnational Modelers! I need help...
Hello all,
As many of you have been looking at my thread on detailing the GP Tiger Moth in the tiger scheme, I have a problem that I hope you all can help me. The color is of a spectacular tiger scheme that Jeremy Furman duplicated in 1/4 scale Ducan kit. I was told from the Web site that hosts his pictures that it is a replica of an actual plane flown in Australia. I did exhaustive search on the net for this plane (serial VH-ASC) but come up empty, considering thousands of photos of this popular biplane. I then had to rely on Mr. Furman's Moth for reference which is not ideal as you don't want to base your scale work from a replica. I am not trying to be "Top Gun" scale, but trying to base my reference to the best that I can. I wonder if there is a reason why the pictures of the actual plane cannot be found consider its uniqueness. Sometimes I wonder if it exists at all... You will see the pictures of the "originial" and mine as below....
