Default Lanier

Back in June I ordered a Lanier Predator to fly in our club Q-500 racing series.

The wing had a built in warp (sheeted foam wing) from the LH aileron out, about 3/16"-
not what you want on a semi high speed model. It was evident through the semi-transparent yellow covering that the wing had an attempt at a factory repair that had only locked in the problem.
I filled out the warranty claim form and submitted it along with digital photos of the wing.
Well, Lanier was closed for vacation...ok...these things happen although I lost time when I could have
been flying.
My first reply was an email that said I could order a new wing at my expense or ship them the defective wing.
Today, a full 6 weeks later, I receive a dark BLUE wing to go with my original yellow model
with a note that the "Predator was discontinued and we have limited spare parts".

No apology, no call or email to explain...just here's a wing of a different color, deal with it. Thanks Lanier...never again will I buy anything from you. The tone of all their communication was not customer
friendly. I have been flying RC for over 25 years and luckily have not had too many problems with manufacturers in the past, and I wont ever give Lanier another chance.
It was a cheap model & money isnt the issue- just the idea that they could care less about their customers; in the meantime I have a nice Hobbico Viper flying and will just gift the Predator to a one of our younger
guys to race.

I bought a Lanier Stinger 60 ARF and called them to complain about defective wheel pants and the guy on the phone said, "I could send you another pair but they would be the same way." The tone of the conversation was one of unwillingness to help. The plane flies good but I wished I had bought something else because the canopy, cowl and wheel pants are poor quality and don't fit well.

I would like a Stinger 120 to use as a gas powered trainer but I'm reluctant to buy from Lanier again.

$5?

Not true...

Simply go to any aircraft page for a manual link...

Input your info and abm....

If you don't want to provide your info... just put anything you want as long as you put a real looking e-mail like [email protected]

And you can download any manual you want.

I agree with Maudib, I picked up a U2 free flight glider and have since converted it to electric.
A nice flying plane for being just a foam glider.
Went to the Lanier site and put in [email protected] to download a pdf. file,
it didn't cost me $5.
Not sure where that came from.

Although Low Rider, I can understand where you stand. That's just bad business, maybe that's why I don't deal with them. BG

About 7 years ago I need several missing formers for my 33% Lanier laser. I was sent new ones, shipping payed for all the way to Canada. Things change[&o]

Last year I ordered a new cowl for my 330L Great Planes kit as it was damaged, talk about poor service, still nothing, so much for that. Some company's grow so big they don't need to bother with costumer service I guess.
