I was wondering on the P-51 trainer by Hangar-9, is it possible to put retracts using the stock 5 channel radio provided. Also on that plane how many channels out of teh 5 are used. Thanks

I don't think there are any spare channel they are all used unless you give up the flaps.
I was wandering the same as for retracts I guess it can be done but I would think that I would also need new radio system. If you find out please post your results and I will do the same.

I think if you want retracts, you will be better off buying a plane that is designed for them. The landing gear design for this trainer Mustang has the gear hard points far back on the wing. If you put retracts on this wing, you will need to do some extensive redesign and rebuilding of the wing to put structural strength where it would be needed. I know it's easy to forget, but this is, after all, a trainer.

That's just about how I see it too. Tooo much work. I will leave this one alone. I'm already in the process of building four planes, no need for extra headaches. Thanks for the extra vote.
