I now own & have been flying my GSP 68" P51,which i love(about 30 flights now).I wanna go big now tho.I have a G38 here that i need to use, really hoping to adapt it to a big warbird..I will be converting the G38 over to C&h ign. ,which I understand lessens weight significantly, adds more power& makes starts alot easier as well..I have seen one of these big WM mustangs fly at the local field here using a MDS 148 which we all know is not much to write home about, but that motor surprised me ,it pulled the big bird around just fine & with some authority to boot.So would i be happy with my G38 on here converted to C&H ign.???
thanks in advance

Click on "search" at the top of the page and type "evoshangar" in the window. Then click on "Engine for Top Flite P-51" Scroll down a few posts and you'll see the long address and click on it. Evo is a master craftsman in my opinion and I know you'll enjoy seeing his work.
Evo dose some major mods on his World 80" Miss America which include installing a ZDZ 40 gasser, scale tail wheel, Spring Air's and flaps.

I'm curious, your the only piot I have come across in a year that has admitted to owning the GSP 68"P-51. Here is mine below. Frankly it is the worst plane in my hangar. I totally rebuilt it as soon as i opened the box. Came out at 11lbs with a OS1.08. it is a good flyer but slow. I put way to much work into it. What was yours like?
*Engines in the WM P-51. The books do not recommend a gas engine. However here is what I have seen here. 5 WM 80" P-51s.
2 planes have the OS 160fx. One had a Moki 2.10 the other had a OS BGX 3500? The 160 pulled it okay but nothing impressive. The Moki and BGX flat out pulled the snot out of them. That is what Ive seen here FYI. Later.
