k this is not the subtrim issue. the subtrim issue locks up the radio as your are doing subtrim on channel tri and get past -60. this issue locks up only with the specific settings and only while trimming at full throttle. i can change any setting like the expo settings and the radio will not lock up. but with these exact settings it will lock up. i was not using neg subtrim. the problem they have posted on their boards on the radio is only if you use neg subtrim greater than -60 on channel 3. i even called to verify this and ask if i would be ok if i just didnt use neg subtrim and i was told i should be fine.

Hey guys i couldn't help but notice this post growing... I've had a problem with Hitec's Flash 5 also... After a few months or so, on 5 occassions (one resulting in a crash) The radio would abrubtly set all my trims to 255%... Note that trim can only go to 125 on Hitec radios. 255 is a factory limit i guess... But like i said 5 times guys. It would set all the trims to +255. That's how i crashed my WM SS40, and i've broken a few servos during testing also. I want to send it back to HITEC but my opened my radio once to take out the trainer switch (After all this happened) Do you think they'd still look at it? I think they should pay for my plane I didn't think anything of it but this post inspired me to...

What do you guys think

You should probably just put the trainer switch back on and mail it back. i doubt you will get much if anything out of them. All i got to say is santa knows i want a new radio, but being out an engine i might just have to settle for engine instead =(. im stuck flying a freaking foamy cut using lowes foam. =/
