CMP Yak 54 140... Which engine?

I've searched a bunch of threads on this plane, and ended up ordering one.
I just can't decide which engine. I'm considering a Moki 1.8 or a Moki 2.1 (both glow).
I know the plane is a bit heavy, and not a real 3D machine, but I'd like some extra power to do a bit of 3D, and pull out of a hover, or just to get out of a bad situation.
Any input on which engine, or other glow engine suggestions?

I have one coming from my lovely and thoughtful wife for Christmas and am undecided on an engine. I've been considering the new OS 120-AX, or the Super-tiger G2300. The Super-tiger is more powerful, but heavier, and must turn more rpm to develop that power. The OS 120-AX on the other-hand develops 3.1 hp at 9,500 rpm, which I like. I have also considered a 4-stroke due to the tremendous torque compared with the 2-stroke, and although the airplane manufacture recommends 120 to 140 on the 4-stroke, I would prefer a little more power due to as you say, the plane weighting 10 to 12 pounds ready to fly, a bit heavy perhaps for 3-D, but not overly heavy for a nice flying airplane that should penetrate the wind quiet well. I have considered the new Saito 125 - 4-stroke due to its weight and power/torque, but am afraid it would make the model, although flyable, a bit underpowered. Of course, as we increase the size and power of the engine, we also increase the flying weight. What I wonder is, where does the swap off of added power verses add weight cancel out???
I have seen the video of the Extreme Aircraft Yak 54 fly and it does well although it weights only a pound or two less, although it is a smaller plane, I think in the 90 to 120 size.
Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.

Backwing, The problem with that airplane is that it is tail heavy. Probably because of the fiberglass rudder fin. I built one of these a while back and used an OS 160,and if memory serves me correct, it still required more than a pound of nose weight to balance. The ready to fly weight was well over 14 Lbs. A bit much for that size airframe IMHO. The guy that I built it for never flew it. He felt it would be a total dog at that weight. My advice would be, save your money. This thing is a lead sled with a pretty paint job. There are plenty of other good bargains out there..........RS

Has anyone thought about putting a gas engine in this bird? I am thinking of a 3W 24 which develops right at three HP. That should also help with the balance problem.

i think there are threads saying that if you're looking for 3D, you've bought the wrong plane. according to the other posters, you're going to have to go with the new Saito 220 or maybe a 160DZ to have enough power for 3D. i have one that's still NIB. a 140DZ was going in it but hasn't yet.
as many have said, it's tail heavy and with a lb in the nose, you won't have a great 3D plane. but basic aerobatics is suppose to be good.
