Default Hinge gap on Kyosho Cap 232

Hey all!
I think I might have screwed up while installing the aileron hinges on my Kyosho Cap 232 .60. Metal hinges were supplied which I have never used before. I didn't get that you should carve out a little bit on the aileron to bury the center part of the hinge resulting in a rather large gap, about 2 mm, between the aileron and wing.

My question is: Shall I rip the suckers out and re-do it all or will it be ok if I just seal the hinges with hinge tape?

I would just seal the gap with Monocoat or clear packing tape. As long as the hinges are anchored down good you will be fine.
