the cable that gp supplies with their kit is useless. it is not coated and unravels when you cut it to lenght, tried to solder it at the cut point but it still did'nt work im goint to use some coated pull-pull cable instead

I am setting mine up (soon as I get time) for Proctor 1/3 wire. (not cheap though, boy does it look good)--A buddy of mine is using Sullivan Kevlar pull/pull wire for rudder-great idea-will not strech and very durable.

I think the flying wires on the pitts are for display only? Anyone know how to make them really work?

How do you make them work? Beef up the attachment points.

Want real flying wires? (Cable isn't scale flying wire) Check out http://www.nelsonhobby.com

Although it's hard to find on the site, they do sell 6' and 24' rolls of scale wire.

Hope this helps.

I ordered a 24' roll today to do the wires on my GP Tiger Moth. I got all of the strut mounts redone (made new ones with 2 screws holding them to the wing instead of just one) and it's time to redo the wires.

Seems a friendly, helpful fellow at Nelson.
