Good ol' scared strait! Lets see how long I can remember that stuff! I've crashed parck fliers many a time 50+ in the last few months. Namly same tree, same plane, 3 times, same day. Only 2 weren't pilot error. #1 Beautiful day withh 3-4 mph CONSTANT breeze. on my landing aprotch, wham, 10mph gust puts her nose up at 3 feet. The rest is history. #2 Beautiful day, no wind. Hand launch and the plane starts bouncing over "pot holes" there was no way to find before flying. turned around and set up to land on a baseball dimond and at 9 in. and plenty of airspeed it hits a bump and slamed into the ground. Busted tail wheel was the result.

Mine was due to mechanical failure. The crash occurred about 30 seconds after takeoff. my speculation is that the horizontal stabilizer came loose, resulting in the pushrod pushing and pulling the entire stabilizer instead of deflecting the elevator. My friend Dave noticed that it was loose when we were setting up, so we CA'ed the wood stabilizer to the plastic fuselage. hey, the stuff claims to work on plastic. he then flew his plane. about 20 minutes later we tried to fly mine. I should have waited an hour, but i forgot the total cure time for the CA was 1 hour. I guess the maintenence dept screwed this one up!

Pilot error and lack of experience.
Aeroworks Edge 540T 60/90
After a nice fun flight, coming in on my final approach the back ground was a white-ish gray, over cast and the plane was in the first turn trying to keep it from coming in to hot I was back on the throttle, ah... OH know it snapped 30' over the trees and down it went. The back ground kept me from its orientation. I broke its back due to poor throttle management.

My last crash was due to too many hands on the radio. Being post-newbie novice, I asked a more experienced(bigger handed) pilot to help me trim my new Global Tornado. This was the second Global Tornado I 've had-I crashed the first one due to a dead receiver battery(I learned that lesson). Anyway, the "expert's" hands got in my way and I got inverted with a little up elevator. You know what happened next-Nosed into the ground really fast.
Now I'm flying a World Models Super Sports 40 with much success. I'm fine with trimming new planes for myself at this point.

Stooooopidity - that's stupid with a whole bunch of 'o's
Not properly pre-flighting my plane(s)
1. up & down were reversed
2. L & R were reversed
the above conditions resulted in an entirely new feeling from adreneline . . . .

Last crash of ARF- JR servo "crapped out" after good preflight, and 5 mins. of flying. Still haven't figured it out, other than internal short, or? (not gear related)
No.1 cause of all plane crashes..........HEAD UP A**

Hey heres a good question people, does anyone know where to get (online?) a preflight check list. I could make one up, but Iv seen them and there very compleate, maybe print out a whole bunch of them and then date them and everything when you fly. Like in a large aircraft.

But the worst this year was when the guy turned his radio on when I was flying 15 foot circles with my leetle uproar at about 5 feet of altitude, when he turned his radio on it made me push the stick forward when I wanted to pull it backward and the throttle went wide open (Webra speed 50) when I know darn well I pulled back on it. When the guy turned his radio on when I was flying my ultimate huh get this, it completely drained my battery was I mad.

I had a Alien unplug my battery pack just before my Staudacher went into battle with a 40 foot Oak.... Also, just the other day that darn wind got me on takeoff with a WM Cub... power stuff, that darn wind... snapped that cub hard into the terra firm... About a week ago, someone turned on a radio, and it caused my beautiful extra 300 to cartwheel down the runway... I couldn't find the felon, because it was just two of us at the field at time.. and the other fellow was flyin' his Kaos when I got the radio hit... I bet it was an alien on channel 30... that's it... time to change crystals...

To answer the question Most "common" crash reasons. Is simple and can be answered in one nut shell. Pilot Error!!
Spacecase thats a good question and I am sure you already have in your mind what needs to be put on the list, I would like to add one thing that comes to mind and FriesHoo's post is what reminded me and that, and that is tape those connections up.
