I did a search in the review section here on RCU.
Found that Ultra has a 50 size Yak 54; sells for $140 but they are out of stock according to their website.

The reviews I've read aren't very good on that one either
It's funny how the giant scale world is filled with Yaks but below like 78" wingspan Yaks are almost non-existant.

Shakes where did you see a review, or did you get that first hand from someone at the field?
The threads I read on RCU say it's a good flyer if you keep the speed up and don't try aggressive manuevers. Basically what I read is it's a good aerobatic plane but not a 3D plane.

Here's a .40 sized built super light for electric power. Got one myself. They are sold out everywhere though for a few weeks[&o] http://aircraft-world.com/default.asp Retails for $189 ..... Putting a slime pump in it would be a bad idea.

The HYPERION YAK-54 mentioned above is a good match for Saito 82 for size and weight, except that vibrator will probably shake the airplane apart. I had that motor, and it has the most vibration-per-displacement I've ever witnessed.

Would a small 2 stroke work on this plane. Say a .46 or .50 I really like this plane and it is a 40 sized plane. They say the flying wieght of this plane is 84 oz. with electric stuff. I think you could prolly get close to that with a .46

The CMPro yak is heavy and NOT for 3d BUT... keep the throws small and it's a great scale flying plane. I like mine so much I bought a second one just to have a spare. Put a little extra glass around the LG inside or the fuse will crack on the bottom just behind the gear.
