Was looking at the Pheonix Extra.. Anyone have this plane... If so how do you like it ?... Well built ?... fly good ?...
I have the Pheonix Dec and it is a great value for the money.. One thing though.. Tower shows weight as 3.52 pounds..
This seems awful light to me for a 40 size plane... Anyone know if this is a misprint ?...
Thanks
IC

Hi IronCross,
With an OS 46 AX mine came out at 6 1/2 lb. It's a decent sport flier, strong airframe, and a great value for the money but don't look for anything more. It was my first plane ( the trainer ) and it served me well . It tracks well if you keep the throttle open, stalls are predictable.
The 3.52 lb advertise on Tower is puzzling and it was the reason I bought it.
Hope it helps

hey guys! maiden flight for the extra yesterday. what a great plane. in referance to the control rod installation, found a trick that worked well. ran a length of rigid tubing from the rear to the front, threaded the rod into the tubing a pulled it through. worked great! just thought i would share that as i have heard complaints about the difficulty of installing the control rods. happy flying.......
