hi, i have just built one of these models and i have to say the instructions were absolute cr*p, so i took it for its first flight with the recomended CG which to me seemed very tail heavy and guess what....IT WAS.... so i took some weight off and then it was too nose heavy DOINK into the ground it went....... to me with the recomended 25 the model seems under powered although i am going to try a different prop size.
I was owndering has anyone else had any experience with this model ? .....any advice would be much welcome before i give up completely.
Cheers,Mark.

I flew mine for the first time yesterday. It has a 36 up front but required a pound of lead up back to balance. [:'(] to be honest it is not a beginners plane it seems to be a handful. The hand launch is quite marginal as well

I have mine built, but not flown yet. The instructions do suck. The correct CG is 180mm from the leading edge of the wing at the fuselage. NOT the 235mm the manual states. I have 8oz. lead in the tail. OS .32sx up front. Test ran the engine the other day, it seems like it should have enough power. Going to us a 9x7 prop for a first try. Good luck to me!!

i have no experience with protech arfs but a few months ago a local hobby shop in our area got a few of those in on some promotion in their store. recently i ran into a guy who works there and he is a avid rc flyer. i saw that f-15 in their store and i asked him if he had any experience or knew anything about them and the other protech arfs they had.. he thought about it for several moments and then told me they had not sold a one of them. not one !!. he claims they are too pricey and most experienced customers are spooked by a lot bad arfs on the market now and with a name they are not familar with. sorry, i know this does not solve your problem.

I will lokk into moving the CG forward to the new location of 180mm after you have flown yours. Let me know how it goes and good luck.

It may be a while before I can fly it, the weather here is pretty lousy right now. When I get a chance I will post my findings.
