Default GP Big Stik .60 engine orientation to horizontal?

Hi there;

I have a Saiti 100 I'm trying to mount in a GP Big Stik .60 ARF. The issue is that the carb control horn is on the left side of the engine (viewed from behind) rather than the traditional right side orientation of most glow engines.

Can the Saito 100 be mounted in a horizontal cylinder orientation using the GP supplied engine mount without adverse affect on running? Anything I should adjust if doing so?

This would solve my linkage problems... I would rather do this than redo the nose gear and throttle push rods/radio installation.

Any advice appreciated...

Cheers;
Eric

Running an engine mounted horizontally is no problem. Needle valve settings (high & low) might need tweaking but that's about it. Does Saito allow you to remove the carb and turn it around? Most OS four strokes do so you can have the linkage on either side.

I didn't know if the carb could be rotated on a Saito FS, but asked the question over on the engine forum and apparently it can be easily dismounted and remounted, so I guess I have two options now to solve my dilemma. Thanks for the helpful info!

Cheers;
Eric
