Just a Idea......Where is this Nitroplanes located? Find some RC person that lives close to Nitro,s business place. Maybe they can call or drive over and find out what the deal is. Could be they went on vacation!!!! Good Luck Capt,n

nitroplanes = raidentech and several other names.
There have been numerous threads regarding poor customer service; and there have been good reports also.
I think a lot of the mail order companies are failrly small operations so they could be on vacation.
Or they could be gone for good; or until they pop back up with a new name.
They have sold quite a few planes. Since they are ARFs, assembly should be fairly similar to most other ARfs. You could start a thread for the specific model you have and post questions about anything that doesn't seem to go together the way you'd expect.

I checked this out. They are fairly close to each other in neighboring counties, but they are not the same company.
The firms are also registered under two different owners, different representative law firms, etc.
This stuff can be gathered via public records.

I've bought 2 P38's from them, the 52" and the new 90" version.
Neither came with the cd's, and the "Engrish" translated manuals do tend to leave a litte to be desired. Like forgetting to mention installing dowel rods in the wings to attach the the front of the booms on the smaller one. LOL

From what I see so far, I like it. Nicely done construction, very light weight.
Looks like they used green covering then painted over it with flat paint.
Going to incorporate air retracts like I did on the 52" version, and she will be electric.
Make her a semi copy of my name sake.
Do like that this one has separate flaps, not Fowler versions though.[&:]
Granted she isn't as scale as the VQ version, but heck an extra $350.00 in the pocket on price savings, will go towards the packs.

For the record, I finally got a response from [email protected]
Maybe they were indeed out on vacation for a while.
They say they are now sending out my promised templates.
I'd suggest anyone who needs to contact them, to utilize the above e-mail address.
Prior to a few weeks ago, I would usually get a response in a day or two when sent to the above.
Maybe they are not so shady as Raidentech?
Except for the two week interval, I usually get a good response from Nitroplanes.

Hi Captinjohn,
Missed you to mate!!
Been too busy with the business (first year and all that).
Yes I'm still flying the big Giles, in fact the Canopy blew off 2 weeks ago during a particularly violent snap roll and I'm getting a new one through one of my suppliers. This time I'll silicone it on as well as screw - still, we live and learn.
Flyreel,
Let me know what plane, I may have a CD.
I'll be out of touch until Monday as I'll be at a Model Show in UK all weekend. But I'll let you know if I can help.
Cheers
Pete

Glacier Girl,
I have been eyeing that 90" P-38 for the same reason, a big electric P-38. Can you please either email me or post info on what your using for engines, etc and how things go? (Please!) And any other 'watch outs' while building would be really great.
Thank you so much,
Sheldon

For the record... Nitroplanes did indeed send me a template that I was missing, just a bit longer than in the promised time.
They've come through for me.
