I ordered direct from Yellow at the Toledo show. I am thinking Moki 2.1 but I haven't seen the specs. I have a 120 size sukhoi with a Moki 180 it is plenty of power but a tad more never hurts.

90 FX is a good fit... 91 Saito powers the 60-size Yellows well, but it will not hover it... a Saito 100 or YS 91 will be a better 3D engine...
90 FX, Saito 100 or YS 91...

I have a 91FX that needs a home and it looks like the yellow 60 size edge could be it. Could someone post some pics when you get it? I've heard they have a fiberglass vertical stab which sounds like a pain. Thanks!

Does anyone think a YS120FZ would be enough for the 120 size yellow edge?
I have one sitting around and I am debating about ordering the 120 size yellow edge.
The guy at yellow says it is a perfect match for the 120 size but I have my doubts. HE claims 12 pounds ready to fly with the YS120. If this is true it may be a good combo.

For the 60-size planes, the 91 FX will be a good powerplant for hovering/3D.
Edgeguy: The Saito 180 is a good engine for 3D'ing the 120-size Yellows.... an OS 1.6 will work as well... We've tried the Saito 150, and while it's a great running engine, it doesn't have the extra umph the plane requires for pulling out of hovers with authority... and the YS 140 would be a better match... a 120 is questionable (although I've never flown one, or seen one fly with a YS 120).

ps: You can see our Yellows fly with Saito 180s and 91s on the website listed below... the Saito 91s will not hover the 60-size planes.

Got mine at Toledo last year
I have an OS .91 FX on mine. I'm almost done with construction. Fire any questions at me if you have any. The fiberglass fin is a pain but doable. The horizontal stab is crooked on mine, no matter how hard I tried to shim it straight. Great fiberglass on the cowl and pants just be careful as the paint chips off easy when you drill the holes.
Getting ready to put in the pilot , decals and balance everything with battery placement. I will probably use some more glue in the front since I'm using the .91.

I ordered one last week also, was told it would ship on Friday, so I'm not expecting it until this Friday. I suspect that's true for all the orders, as they had just arrived at Yellow on New Years eve.

I talked to Y/A friday and he didn't ship them until friday so it only takes about 2 days for me to get mine so it should be here monday or tuesday. They did ship Fri. though I looked up the tracking number for ups.

Guys,
Those kits just arrived on Saturday. Sorry for the dee-lay. You guys that ordered them through me should have them by now, if not, give me an email. I hope the extra savings offset the wait a little.

the ys91s seem to power the 60/90 size great. 14 year old son hovers his cap just fine with the ys. the 4s have the torque to get these plane into and through manuevers alot better than the 2 strokers just my observation.........gare
