Default Lanier Stinger 60 Manual

Hi everyone-
Does anyone know what's up with Lanier's Stinger 60 manual download. If you log on to Lanierrc.com and try to download the manual,it just sits there with no text.Maybe I need an updated patch for Adobe reader or something?I just ordered a Stinger 60 ARF and would love to have a copy of the manual to look over until it gets here. Can anyone help? Thanks so much,
Mike

Didn't work for me either and I know my Acrobat reader is up to date. Maybe they will fix it tomorrow.

Default Manual

Dave-It's been that way for a couple of weeks now-maybe someone should contact them?I tried contacting them about a faulty part via E-mail and never heard anything.

I tried to contact Lanierr via e-mail twice, and never received a response. Had to make a long-distance phone call. I don't think anybody there reads their e-mail. As to the manual, when your plane comes in, you better check the proper cg and proper location of the engine mount. Both were wrong in my manual. Maybe they have corrected it by now.

Default The Stinger's performance

Just wondering-how do you like the Stinger's performance.I have heard nothing but good reports about this plane.I am putting a Tower .75 in it and just wondered if you think that is enought to pull it vertical. Also, they list the weight as 6.5 to 8 lbs. What makes so much of a difference? Thanks,
Mike

Mike,
I have the 120 size stinger, so can't speak from anything except watching the 60 size. They all have a thick airfoil which slows down great for landings and has very stable flying qualities.
The most likely reason for the weight spread is: the variety of engine and servo weights people use and Lanier is notorious for lots of "heavy" plywood parts.
The 120 size lists weight as 11+ lbs - mine weighs 16 lbs, but has a gas engine and still flys great.

The 60 size will go good vertical with a 61FX and unlimited with a 91FX for the ones I've seen.

As an everyday sport flyer, they're hard to beat - you'll love it.

Thanks Canman-
I should be fine-the .61FX is rated at 1.90 HP and the Tower .75 at 2.2 HP.I just hope mounting my engine 1/2 inch low to get the muffler to clear is not going to hurt anything-I posted another thread on the subject. Thanks again-nice pic by the way!

Goose,

Thrust line is a really big deal on stingers - if you have the time, a call to Lanier's tech department might help. They have always shot straight with me and been an excellent resource for "been there, done that".
Their phone is 770-532-6401 and I always just ask for someone with experience on the model in question.

Good luck
Dave

Doing a right click and selecting Save As works. Not much to the manual as it is all text.
