Looking for suggestions on mounting a Magnum 1.20 fourstroke in the Balsa Nova 1.20 size ARF.
I know the carb should be parallel with the center of the fuel tank, but the engine mounts seem rather large, and mounting the engine upright seems like it might work with a little carving, but the fuel tank would sit above the carb. Then, there is the cowl to contend with, so everything lines up.
Has anyone engined the Balsa Nova 1.20 and any suggestions as to what would be the best way to mount it, so I can do it right the first time? All suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

Hi; I put an ST2300 inverted in my .120 and it fit in the mounts that came with the plane with a little carving. The engine runs very well this way with a McDaniels glow system. I would reinforce the landing gear with another piece of 1/4" ply on top and triangle stock. The gear is a little weak on a dirt field or tall grass. I have knocked mine off twice. Great flying airplane. Nub
