Default H9 P-47 Gear

A couple questions regarding the landing gear. 1) Is it possible to permanently lock the gear in the down position, in case I don't want to change to Robarts? 2) I am a complete novice when it comes to retractable gear. Only retracts I had was when i landed to fast and to hard (oops). Could a complete retract novice be able to change out the stock retracts and install Robarts of another brand of mechanical retracts.

Look closely at my name, it says it all. I really am old and slow.

Thanks for input

Jim

Are you referring to the .60 sized plane or the '150'? (giant scale).

Another question: What are robostruts mentioned on the build thread? Can these be installed over the stock retract wires and if so would they make them sligltly stronger and is it a simple process? As you can see I really know nothing about retracts.
